The Changing Station That Ended the Scramble

For about two months my changing table was just a pile. Every diaper change turned into a search, usually one handed, usually while she was rolling toward the edge. Five things fixed it and I have not rearranged it since.

PeraBella Diaper Caddy Organizer

Everything in one basket with handles, so it comes downstairs with me instead of living in one room. The middle section holds a wipes pack upright instead of letting it flop over.

OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser

One wipe comes out at a time instead of a rope of eleven. Sounds like a small thing. It is not a small thing at 3am.

BlueSnail Quilted Waterproof Changing Pad Liners, 3 Count

Three in rotation so there is always a clean one. The waterproof backing turns an accident into a laundry problem instead of a whole-pad problem.

Weleda Baby Calendula Diaper Cream

Short ingredient list, no fragrance, and it spreads smooth instead of dragging. This is my everyday one.

Ubbi Stainless Steel Diaper Pail

Steel instead of plastic, so it does not hold onto the smell the way our first one did. It takes regular trash bags too, which I did not appreciate until I stopped buying refill rings.
